Hello World!

South_African_Colourful_Roadside_Markets

Hi, I’m Tosh! Welcome to my travel blog.

I’m a photography nut, motorcycle enthusiast and a massive travel junkie that still maintains a normal 9 to 5 working in the hectic and high paced advertising industry. Having a 9 to 5 hasn’t stopped me from seeing the World and trust me when I say this: I use all my vacation time very wisely throughout the year.

Sometimes the smallest thing such as a photo on Pinterest or Instagram will spark my curiosity of a new culture or destination. I’ve created this space online for people who are like minded and have a desire to see and experience new destinations, whether it be local, or abroad.

When I was 20 years old, I had my first flight EVER and it was to Europe (Slovenia to be exact)Β to visit family. I skipped my college graduation to go abroad for the first time because gaining experiences and having adventures over getting a piece of paper seemed more important to me at the time and I’m glad I made that decision. My love of travel blossomed from there. I loved photographing the little alleyways, cozy street corners, the local people in the streets and the architecture. From that point on, I knew I wanted to see more of the World.

I embarked on my first ever solo trip to Norway back in 2014 and haven’t looked back since then. I was hooked on travelling solo. I’ve travelled to places with groups of friends, or just one other person as well since then, but solo travel is my niche. I love it and hope to inspire more people to just book a ticket and GO!

I look forward to sharing my adventures and even some misadventures with all of you as I make my way around the World, one country at a time!

xoxo

  9. Wow! Norway al by yourself! I travel solo 90% of the time and I’m looking forward to making my first trip to Europe next year. I think for the sake of baby steps I’ll probably have to go to Paris or London first because I’m very nervous to be the tourist that doesn’t speak the language. πŸ™‚

    1. Omg you’ll love Europe! Those are two places I haven’t been to visit – England and France, only through transit have I been in the countries. Honestly, every place in Europe has a massive English speaking population and most people love to practice speaking it. If you learn a few basics it’ll go a long way. Norway was phenomenal. I’d go back in a heartbeat, for sure!! πŸ™‚
